Award, expansion and fleet growth: a year in review

Exciting times roll on

A new year brings new opportunities for us here at Courier Express; but before we get stuck into what promises to be another exciting and busy year, we wanted to reflect on some highlights from 2018 that have allowed us to move into 2019 with lots of optimism, enthusiasm and excitement…

Expanded our fleet

We added to our range of state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled vehicles during the course of the year. 2019 will be no different, as we continue to complement our growing fleet, which ranges from 3.5 to 26 tonnes.

Enhanced customer service

Building on our already renowned customer service, early in 2018, Ryan, who many, if not all of our customers, will now be familiar with, joined us as IT and Customer Services Manager. In April we also launched a brand-new website, with a host of fresh features, including a ‘Quick Quote’ option to allow customers to get an accurate quote in speedy response times.

Without wishing to embarrass Ryan, both have proved to be a resounding success and will go some way towards us further building on our reputation for delivering class leading customer service.

Award winner

In September, we were honoured to be awarded the Refrigerated Courier of the Year at the Temperature Controlled Storage and Distribution (TCS&D) Awards.

Our latest triumph was the sixth consecutive time we have been shortlisted for the prestigious award, which means we have been nominated every year since the TCS&D Awards were first established and we have been successful on three occasions.

Expansion

In 2018 we continued to build our UK wide presence, putting us even better placed to deliver refrigerated transport solutions nationwide in 2019 and beyond.

Our strategic locations now include Manchester, London, Leeds, Milton Keynes and the Midlands with our refrigerated transport services including foodservice multi-drops, emergency deliveries, pharmaceuticals, backhauling and more.

2019 is going to be even more exciting as we continue to build on our fleet, team, presence and services.
