High five for Courier Express

Courier Express | Five new vans

With a growing number of customers, we have invested in five new multi-temperature vehicles to manage increased demand for a range of deliveries across the country.

The vans are top of the range 3.5 tonne Mercedes Benz 314DCI Sprinter vehicles – perfect for refrigerated, frozen, chilled and ambient deliveries for foodservice produce, product samples, pharmaceuticals and specialised goods.

As with all our vehicles, they are fitted with the latest temperature monitoring technology and bulkhead doors. These ensure stock is kept at the right temperatures, irrespective of what it might be, throughout the delivery process, arriving in top condition.

All five are also fitted with vehicle tracking and SmartCam dashboard cameras – allowing us to keep our customers up to date with delivery timescales, whilst also maintaining best practice for our dedicated drivers.

We believe our fleet to be one of the most modern of any temperature-controlled courier company. Alongside the onboard equipment, the whole vehicle range is updated every three years, providing greater efficiencies for both ourselves and our customers.

The acquisitions are the latest in a long line of vehicle updates. Earlier this year, we took delivery of a similar vehicle, alongside two 7.5 tonne lorries, to offer even more flexibility.

As a business, we are always looking for opportunities to increase our services to companies throughout the UK. Expanding our fleet provides us with the capabilities to deliver more goods for both new and existing customers.

The investment builds on what is turning out to be a successful 2018, as, alongside fleet investment, we have increased coverage with a host of new operational centres, established a customer-service department with a dedicated customer service manager and won the ‘Refrigerated Courier of the Year’ title at the TCS&D Awards.
