At Courier Express Refrigerated Transport, we specialise in transporting temperature-controlled items to customers throughout the UK 24/7 – all from our depots covering the North, East, South and West of the country.
As we have a number of long-standing and well-recognised customers operating within the food sector, we thought we would reveal a few secrets about what happens to food product samples between pick-up and delivery. Sometimes, it’s not as simple as going from A to B as quickly as possible.
We receive enquiries from new and existing customers on a regular basis, whether that’s on the phone, email or through the contact form on our website.
Usually, these come from food manufacturers or producers, often within new product development departments that require the latest samples to be with potential customers at the earliest opportunity, or in time for a new business pitch.
We ensure most of our food product sample orders are picked up on the same day before 3 pm, with drivers in our multi-temperature vehicles taking in multiple pick-ups during the day.
Once the goods are checked, drivers in close proximity to our Manchester depot with head back to store the products in temperature-controlled units ready for next-day delivery. However, as we have many customers requesting product samples in the South of England, we often have drivers within the London area. These will use our London depot as a storage centre.
In some instances, we can cater for same-day emergency product samples, if it is required by the customer.
On the day of delivery, our drivers will constantly monitor the products en route to the customer, to ensure goods are delivered in perfect condition and the samples are not spoilt.
As a result of our successful food product sample deliveries, many of our customers have launched new ranges across supermarkets and other retail outlets.
At Courier Express, we have been delivering product sample services for a wide variety of food manufacturers and producers since 2003. If you would like further information – about our food product samples visit https://www.refrigeratedtransportuk.com/services/product-sampling.
